The Boat

I researched for several months to find a boat that has the perfect balance of comfort, space, and fishability.  The boat I chose was the Carolina Skiff 2480 DLX.  This watercraft has a ton of open deck space, a smooth dry ride, and a shallow draft to get to almost any spot on the lake.  I have outfitted the boat with several rod holders for both anchor and drift fishing.  The Minn Kota Rip-Tide trolling motor really helps with the fishing.  This allows the boat to get into shallow water where the fish will feed without spooking them.  I also chose a Suzuki 4-stroke motor due to their great fuel economy, reliability, and low noise.  Some other accessories I have added to the boat are a large T-Top for shade, 50 gallon shad tank, removable livewell for trophy cat trips, and custom placed seating to improve comfort.
